Bike safety check

We carry out a full bike-check and ensure it is safe to ride, plus ensure gears and brakes are adjusted correctly.
- Brakes: cables/hydraulics adjusted, pads checked.
- Gears: adjusted and re-indexed.
- Check drive train: Chain, gears, cables and mech all checked.
- Check tyres and tubes (or sealant).
- Check wheels: Wheels checked to be true, spokes checked they are tight.
- Check all bolts torqued to spec and check frame.
This is the perfect option if your bike has been neglected (sitting in the shed or garage for some time) or you are getting back into riding after a break.
General service

This is our standard service, and if you ride regularly a yearly service can save money by identifying & fixing small problems before they become expensive headaches.
- Drivetrain degreased & lubricated, gear cables checked.
- Brakes checked and adjusted.
- Gears checked for alignment and wear, gears re-indexed with limit screws adjusted.
- Hub bearings checked for wear.
- Bottom bracket checked for wear.
- Wheels checked and trued.
- Headset checked for wear.
- Cockpit adjusted for alignment and torque checked.
- Saddle and seatpost adjusted for alignment and torque checked.
- All bolts torqued to specification.
If we identify any component that needs replacing we will get your authorisation before we order any parts or embark on any additional work. Included in the service price is replacement of consumables such as tyres, brake pads, gear cables, chains, etc (parts additional).
Full strip-down service
£180 / £240
3 - 4 hours
(3 hours for a “classic bike”, 4 hours for a bike with internally routed cables)
If your bike has seen some hard miles then a full strip-down and rebuild will make it feel like new. Every moving part gets a deep clean and regreased.
- Complete strip down of parts and rebuild.
- Drivetrain removed degreased and lubricated.
- Brakes checked and adjusted, hydraulic brakes bled if necessary.
- Gears checked for alignment and wear, gears re-indexed with limit screws adjusted.
- Hubs dismantled, checked for wear, and regreased.
- Bottom bracket checked for wear, and regreased.
- Wheels checked, spoke tensions balanced and trued.
- Headset removed, checked for wear, and regreased.
- Cockpit adjusted for alignment and torque checked.
- Saddle and seatpost adjusted for alignment and torque checked.
- All bolts torqued to specification.
Our aim is to make your bike feel-like-new so if any component is identified as needing replacing we will get your authorisation before we order new parts for you.
Collection and delivery service
We will come and collect your bike for you, and when we have repaired or serviced it, we will drop it back to you so you don’t even need to pack it in your car. This service is only available within the GU postcode.
